Register to join the fourteenth season of Tel Azekah, July 19—August 14, 2026!

Join us for as long as you like — the full four weeks or just the weeks that fit your schedule!

The cost of excavating at Azekah begins at 2750 NIS (~850$ USD) per week which is discounted the longer you join us. This cost includes your excavation accommodation, meals, transportation to and from the site, guest lectures, classes, tours and more! This fee does not cover accommodation or food over the weekend (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon), or flights to/from Israel. We also highly recommend that you personally acquire travel insurance to ensure you are covered for all possible costs.

Our Cancellation Policy

We completely understand that life can change suddenly and force people to cancel their excavation reservation. As a result, there are two different times in the year that volunteers can cancel.

Cancellation before June 30: A full refund, minus a 150 NIS registration and banking fee.
Cancellation after June 30: A full refund, minus a 650 NIS cancellation fee for each week, and a 150 NIS registration and banking fee.

Cancellation during the season, or without announcement, will receive no refund.

After registering, this page will show a copy of the registration details sent to the Azekah team. Please save your registration information for your records. You should expect to receive an email from an Azekah administrator within a week.

If you do not receive a detailed confirmation from us within 7 business days, please contact us directly at azekah.excavations@gmail.com with a copy of your registration form.

3. Terms and Conditions

By submitting this form, I acknowledge that:

  • I am physically and mentally able to participate in the Tel Azekah excavation and acknowledge that there are certain risks involved in such activities.
  • I will be insured under a valid medical insurance policy throughout the entire span of my excavation period, and I confirm that my medical insurance covers any damage that I may be subjected to as a result of my presence on an archaeological site.
  • In the event of an emergency in which I, or my emergency contact, cannot be reached, I authorize the directors and head administrative staff of the excavation to make medical decisions for me and to administer first aid if deemed necessary.
  • I have read and agree to the cancellation policy outlined above.
